Just off the cities of Geneva, Lausanne and Yverdon-les-Bains, the Jura Vaudois naturel regional park includes 30 communes, stretching from the peak of La Dôle to the medieval village of Romainmôtier. To the north is the Vallée de Joux, renowned for its watchmaking expertise and lakes. On the other side of the mountain range, overlooked by Mont-Tendre, the villages of the Jura foothills offer unobstructed views of Lake Geneva and the Alps. The Regional Natural Park label is attributed by the Swiss Confederation. Created on the initiative of its inhabitants, a regional national park is distinctive for its extraordinary landscapes and rich natural and cultural patrimony. The Parc Jura vaudois invites you to discover the diversity of its landscapes, to sample its local culinary products in one of many snack bars, inns or picnic grounds and to explore its lands on foot, by bicycle or by mountainbike. Wander off on a lesser known trail or take a guide thematic excursion and you will encounter cheese-makers in the pastures, talented crafts people, passionate nature lovers and woodsmen with a love for trees.

A paradise for hikers and thematic hikes

In an afternoon, a full day or a 3-day hike, your steps will lead you to the wooded pastures of St-Cergue, to the mysterious Valley of Nozon, along the shores of Lake Joux and through the forests of the Jura's gentle foothills.
